Filming paradise: Martin and Osa Johnson's Pacific documentaries
Dr Prue Ahrens, art historian and Lecturer, Cultural History, University of Queensland, speaks about American film-makers Martin and Osa Johnson, who produced more than fifteen films of the Pacific and Southeast Asia. Dr Ahrens will screen parts of the films, including Among the Cannibal Isles of the South Pacific 1918, which broke box office records when it premiered. Followed by a screening of Osa Johnson's I married adventure 1940
